Our purpose has always been to promote women's writing and to provide books reflecting women's diverse lives and interests. We also have lots of men customers and we welcome them.
As a quality, independent New Zealand bookstore, we are renowned for our passion for books and for our personal service. This includes fast, efficient MAIL-ORDER all over the country, and a commitment to sourcing SPECIAL ORDERS - if it's available we'll get it for you.
We provide ONLINE shopping, host frequent author events, send out an OCCASIONAL E-NEWS when we have events and news, and publish BOOKCHOICE, a printed newsletter that gives readers an informed guide to good books.
We are also much more than a bookshop. We are a community resource providing such services as a noticeboard; information about events, courses and community happenings; selling tickets and providing a friendly inviting space where women can meet.
